I promise you there will come a day, Butterfly fly away.." -"Butterfly Fly Away": Billy Ray Cyrus & Miley Cyrus Yes, it's from a Miley Cyrus song.. stfu, for some reason I like it. It is kinda.. gay really but it's catchy so hey. It's been in my head all week, so go figure I would draw something to do with it. Tch, this was not suposed to be as 'emo' as it looks. I'm not sad, nor do I feel the need to bitch about everything here, so that's not what this is. I've just been feeling really strange lately (nostalgic, empty, things like that) and have been looking into psychological things and symbolism and.. crap like that. And strange enough, this picture does have a story-like point to it: Basically butterflies are often seen as a symbol of freedom, ie having the freedom of wings to fly away. The wall represents some kind of barrier or obstacle in the way to getting to something desired. So the butterfly can easily fly away from.. whatever depressing place this is, but for some reason it isn't. And the fox doesn't understand why it can fly away, but doesn't, especially when the fox can't get out itself since the wall's too high. To explain it all properly, I'd have a whole essay typed here.. so I'll leave it at that. ..And, yes, I do have too much time on my hands to be coming up with this crap  Wow, I am an uber fag.. aren't I? Oh yeah, and also I've changed Thera's design again. The whole purple and blue flare thing was annoying me.. so they went bai bai. I'm pretty happy with her now, she looks more natural. Though I'm undecided as to whether to keep her as a normal one tailed fox, or keep the original idea of her having three tails. Feel free to let me know what you think about that..  Thera- =Fighting-Fox Tools- Sketched out on paper then photoshopped: Photoshop CS2 Time- Worked on it on and off for about 1 and a half days, with plenty of distractions Music- Lots of crap including: Chicago soundtrack, Miley Cyrus, The Last Unicorn soundtrack. It doesn't look emo to me, it just seems like a really nice idea, I lovelovelove her expression, its really perfect and goes completely well with the whole idea of the picture. lolol ahah you too?? I keep thinking about psychological stuff alot recently too, I dunno I find it interesting I guess~ I keep trying to read psychology books, but sciency stuff makes my head explodeee~ I love the little butterfly story behind it! Lol, I really relate to this pic. I feel exactly the same, empty, nostalgic, even feeling like theres a barrier that I can't get over to be where i want to be.
I really like the design change, I think the black bits look great, I especially like the white ear tip, I like her with one tail, but then I did like her with three aswell..ahah yay for indesisivenesss~
Also I really love the dark background, great atmosphere and the butterfly is prettyyy. <3

Oooh, least I'm not alone in thinking that way then xD I just thought I was becoming more of a weirdo with all.. this. It's kinda annoying when you get to the point where you try and analise everything you think or feel.. it just makes me feel like I'm losing it xD Fun stuff!

Aahh I know, its really starting to drive me crazyy. I analise everything tooo, I think waaay too much. My mind really needs to shut up. D:
lol yeah, whenever I've drawn her I always found the tails really hard to position XD..I'd never know where to put them alll.
